Exercise
Classes
Susan Gardner teaches classes for the non-fitness
fanatic. The classes are basic and any level of
fitness can take part: first-timers, people
returning to exercise after an absence and people
who prefer a low impact class. It does not matter if
you have two left feet, you will be able to go at
your own level and no-one is singled out. Lose
inches, have more stamina, feel happier and
healthier!
All Sue's classes are conducted at Halo Leisure
Centres in Herefordshire.

Tums and Bums
A popular exercise class, which works the important
areas of your body!

The class is fun and the exercises easy to
follow. The music will get you in the mood,
the time will go quickly and you will look and
feel better.

This class is popular with the ladies, it
combines high intensity and low impact exercises
to tone and shape those important areas. This
class will really make your buns as firm as a
ripe peach.

Tone your inner and outer thighs, and
watch your waist tone up and lose some important
inches (cut out the junk food and watch your
dress size go down).

Aerobics
A workout which offers a complete body work out,
from the aerobic content, to strength work, toning
exercises with flexibility and stretching and all in
one hour! Any level of fitness can come along as the
workout is tailored to meet your fitness levels.
The aerobic content is with easy to follow
moves and at a pace we can all manage.
Strength work will help to improve the
metabolism and increase the ability to carry, and
lift ,as well as helping people increase strength in
areas where injury may have occurred to assist in
better posture and less repeat of injury site
problems.
Toning exercises assist with loss of inches
and a firmer body
Flexibility is an important part of our lives
and will help with bending, reaching, and posture,
with less chance of hurting yourself if you slip or
fall.
Stretching again helps with posture, takes
away the lactic acid build up after a workout, which
in turn reduces post muscular pain. It gives people
time to relax and lengthen the muscle fibres to
prevent the build up of scarring and tightness
around certain particular areas.
It is important to exercise all aspects of the body
to improve health, increase fitness levels, lower
cholesterol, decrease stress levels, to increase
stamina and to help you to sleep.

Sculpting
Today's pace of life can lead to stress and physical
problems.
This class will aid in toning and trimming the
body; relieving stress and building up the core
strength needed to carry out normal daily
activities. You will work areas of the body to
increase toning and fat loss e.g. arms, waist, hips
and back. This is an ideal class for people who
currently on a weight-reducing programme, returning
to exercise after an absence, need to lose inches,
or starting/maintaining an exercise programme.
Susan Gardner will take you through a fun packed
hour of easy to follow exercises to all ages and
abilities. You will leave feeling refreshed, and
have more stamina. Over a number of weeks the body
should look and feel more toned, strengthening will
help with back, knee, and neck problems.

The Concept of Boxercise® Boxercise® began in the UK
in 1992 based upon training principles that have
existed for over two hundred years.
The Boxercise course has developed age old training
principles and adapted them to form a safe,
effective and fun form of exercise suitable for all
ages and levels of ability.
Boxercise® is one of the most effective forms of
cross-training available today. It combines use of
both aerobic and anaerobic energy systems with the
systematic recruitment of both fast and slow twitch
muscle fibres in a manner that not only ensures a
diverse workout but also enhances sports specific
senses including hand-eye co-ordination, balance and
timing.
Boxercise® classes are always fun, energetic and
addictive.
Boxercise® follows the methods employed in boxing as

Freestyle Fitness Yoga
Freestyle Fitness Yoga is a freestyle class that
targets flexibility, core stability and strength.
What is Freestyle Fitness
Yoga?
FFY is a fitness program that incorporates deep
stretch, Yoga postures and Pilates exercises. Every
element of this class is validated from a fitness
perspective. Any one taking part in a class can
expect to improve their flexibility greatly in 8
weeks. They will learn how to identify the bodies
stabilizing muscles and use them effectively and
efficiently to improve their posture and move with
more confidence.
How does Freestyle fitness
Yoga differ from traditional Yoga?
It is not a spiritual experience it mimics Yoga in
its breathing and style offering postures that
endorse strength and stability. There is no dogma,
chanting or philosophy attached to this workout.
There is no Sanskrit terms as postures are
prescribed from the bodies natural anatomical
perspective. We do not use Yoga names and
references. Extreme postures that exceed optimal
ranges of motion generally are avoided. Fitness
Pilates exercises that target and positively enhance
the bodies postural muscles are included in this
workout. During FFY moves and postures can be
sequenced together to the beat of the music making
transitions seamless and graceful.
Who is
Freestyle Fitness Yoga appropriate for?
FFY is appropriate for many different target groups.
Health clubs, leisure centers & the community can
benefit from Fitness Yoga on the timetable as its
roots in fitness make it excellent prescription for
a total body programme where flexibility is often
the weakest link. Like all group exercise it can be
taught in many different levels to suit all age
ranges and abilities.
Who can teach?
In order to teach FFY you need a valid fitness or
group exercise qualification and current insurance.
We take for granted knowledge of anatomy &
physiology plus the instructors ability to identify
multi levels of the same exercise.

BODYPUMP™
BODYPUMP™ is the fastest way to shape up and lose
body fat. It’s a toning and conditioning class with
weights and is for just about everybody who wants to
add strength training into their aerobic workout.
The simplicity of the class makes BODYPUMP™ a great
starting point to develop strength and confidence.
Hot sounds and compelling choreography keep you
going through each 45-minute or one-hour workout.
You’ll use a step platform, a bar and a set of
weights. If you’re new to weights-resistance
exercise or you’re out of shape, you should start
with light weights. After a few classes you’ll
recognise the correct weight for you. If you’re
unsure, ask your instructor.
